Arcing from Power steering fluid-check this out ! 200

While my car was at the Mechanic the guy pointed out the fact that due to electrolytic action the power steering fluid that was leaking from the IPD filter was electrically ARCING to the clamp & the metal on the HP power steering hose ! Thank goodness I found this out ! If there was a gas leak the car could have gone up in flames! Went to Strauss & got 3ft of 3/8 gas proof hose & replaced the filter & old hose that waqs rotted. Will figure out a good re-location of the filter when the weather warms up but no more arcing !If you want to check this out just open your hood where it is dark & look where the PS hose to the pump is.
