No, one of many myths is that poly bushings give you a hard, harsh, choppy ride.
Not with the right springs and shocks. With the wrong springs, shocks, sway bars, who knows. Its having the right combination that counts. Wish you could come to our garage and drive one of the cars we have done the suspension on - where all of the parts are designed to work together. I'll take you fast over one of the bumpiest paved roads you've ever seen. That is an open offer for anyone reading this by the way. Several people have driven over a 1000 miles just for a demo ride. Most recent customer comment after installing our progressive springs and poly bushings with the right shocks was: " ...the car rides and handles like a million bucks." - Dick Sampson"
Not trying to push our products here, just the concept that problems with engines and suspensions usually occur when parts are not used in a combination where they work together. Any spring will seem poor, too soft, to hard, when used with a shock with the wrong valving for that spring. And the exact same is true about shocks, they will seem terrible with a spring that is too soft or too hard. A spring that is just right for the weight of the car, can be made to give too harsh a ride with a sway bar that pushes the combined spring rate too high, or with a shock with the wrong valving. The total sprung weight of the car, and unsprung weight including tires and wheels, can make a big difference too, so it gets hard to compare from car to car unless you know all of the modifications that have been made.
