Coolant flush or coolant drain? 200

I drain the system as described by rcsammy, but then splice a flush tee into the upper heater hose at the firewall and attach the garden hose to this. Heater valve at "max" throughout. Flush until it runs clear. Button everything up, add a jug of Prestone rad flush and fill with plain water. Run the engine 10-15 minutes - again, with the heater valve at max. Then drain and flush and drain again. Put in 1/2 the system capacity of pure antifreeze and fill up with distilled water. Check for leaks. Do this every two years. Got 20 years out of our 83's rad that way before it needed rodding out.
