The first geo metro question on the brickboard!!! 200

okay... a little out of place I know, but everyone on here has been so good to me, that I am sure you all can help!

My fiance owns a 1994 Geo Metro XFI (1.0 litre,3cyl.)

recently she had the timing belt slip and we took it to a mechanic and had it reset. Right before the timing belt problem I had just dont a complete tune up including plugs, wires, ditributor cap, button, air filter, new belts. When we got it back from getting the timing reset, it idled poorly when at a stand still. The engine was off like a heart that is having palpitations...and on rare occasions it would stall out. Today she is driving to work, and every single time she takes her foot off the gas the engine stalls. The car starts right back up, but she was forced to restart her car a hundred times on her way to work today. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!
Jason
