Thanks to all on this board who helped and advised me during my quest to find a quality 940. I ended up with a white 1993 940NA sedan with 80K miles from ebay for $4850. It is in beautiful shape. I did as many of you suggested and did my research. Clean carfax. One onwner who traded it in on a new Mercedes. I found the dealership that did most of the work on it and got the car's maintenance history. I had my mechanic go over it as well. We found very little that needs to be done to it. I will now go thru the FAQs for preventative maintenance items after purchase and replace oil, filters, flush, etc. The exterior paint is in great shape and the interior leather fantastic. The 550 mile drive home yesterday was a pleasure.
Now I am the proud owner of a 1989 240 and a 1993 940. Guess Ill have to change my Brickboard sign-on name!
