Idiot Light Was Right (Cried Wolf Too Many Times) 200 1985

I've been trying to fix my oil light for a couple of months. I forgot to check my oil before I drove my 1985 245DL today, but I figured that there were no oil leaks under the car, no smoke was coming from the exhaust, and I hadn't driven it in a while. Well, after driving 60 miles without problems, I decided to check the oil anyway; I was down 3 quarts. The car still runs fine, but I'm worried that I've damaged the B230F, non-turbo engine. Need I worry? Anything I can do to test it? Thanks in advance.
