I recently installed the ipd upper strut bases on an 87 244. The car only has 112,000 miles, was fairly tight to begin with--but--did notice a slight improvemnet in cornering. I got mine from IPD before x-mas, they were on sale at that time-fairly cheap-not much to them anyway--but--they do look good once installed. Good luck--I think they are worth the cost
