Something's still not right with the rear end . . . 700 1990

I wish I had a more definite question, but ...

The car is my 90 744T/M46 with about 112K. Got it thru eBay this summer and in addition to new motor mounts, I have added the following suspension mods: Cherry strut tower brace, IPD lower chassis brace & 25mm sway bars, Boge Progas shocks. One of the mounting bolts for the center support bushing/housing, and another for the differential trailing arm bushing was sheared - both were removed/replaced. The car came with (TME, I think) lowering springs which proved too harsh for city driving (Metro Chicago) and the stock springs were replaced on the rear. So what's the problem...?

The rear end does not seem tight. It handles most road irregularities OK, not great, does not change direction, but takes some (not all) bumps at speeds over 20 mph with a dull thump. I have Boge ProGas and 25mm bars on my 940, and it is very tight, so its not the Progas vs Turbogas. Local IndyShop (Bricks only) checked the bushings, says they're all decent. Short of having them all replaced, I don't know what to do. Any thoughts or experiences with "loose" rear suspension, where to look, etc., would be GREATLY appreciated. This 744T is a lot of fun to drive, and I'll be installing a Turbo+ kit this spring - I'd like to keep the rear wheels on the ground. (I've tried putting a thumb tack on the gas pedal, but even that didn't help.) Thanks ...
