OEM Volvo brake pads vs. Roulunds (Dan Block) 200 1986

On the left frame, the left pad is OEM while the right is a Roulunds (Dan Block). On the right frame, the top is OEM, the bottom is the Dan Block.

OEM has the pad material through 6 holes in the backing plate.
DB the pad material through 6 holes in the backing plate.

OEM has a notch on the top of the backing plate.
DB has a notch on the top of the backing plate.

OEM pad is camfered to reduce noise.

OEM pads cover your wheels with dust like this ...

Uh, I expect the Dan Blocks to do the same, except I spent less than half the price of OEM.

FWIW, I bought them just to try out, as my local auto parts (Walnut Auto) is carrying them, and I wanted to see if they are any good. With what I've seen, I expect they will perform just like the OEM pads I had on, good (excellent braking in normal conditions) and bad (dusting).
