Head Coolant Tube 140-160

When I got my B20E head back from the machine shop, I noticed that there was a slight rattle coming from the coolant tube. Poking around a bit disclosed a bit of lateral movement, about half a milimeter I would say, at the thermostat end. Is there any significance to this? Is this tube supposed to be locked into position at the # 4 cylinder end of the block as well?
