b18d/b20f parts compatibility /burning valves 120-130

I am faced with rebuilding my 400000 mile b18d(65 122s). I picked up a parts car (73 1800es) that has a b20f with 46,000 miles on the clock(1 owner last 25 years in barn, carpet was the floor, not restorable at all, but engine turns over with a wrench on hte crank pulley). Can I refresh this engine and put my 2 su's with intake and exhaust manifolds onto this engine? I know that the injector holes in the head will have to be plugged, or am I better to use my B18 head on the B20 base? Also is the fuel injected engine camshaft compatible with a carborated set up? In a side question any tips on valve life, I burnt a valve on my P1800 last summer(B20F stock) and one in my 122S this summer. I always use premium gas and add a lead substitute every other tank(20,000 miles this summer combined). What am I doing wrong?

Thanks
