This is the first year I missed the Detroit Auto show. I would go because I could usually get in free. I lost my spokesmodel ticket connection... I wanted to know if Volvo unveiled it's new 30 Series for the U.S. market. Last year I was disappointed to see how small Volvo's display was. They even were so short on space that there was not even one 40 Series shown. The spokesperson said the needed all of the available space to showcase the new XC90 (wich won best SUV award) I think Ford was partially to blame. The Lincoln display was about four times larger and right across from Volvo. How many versions of the Navagator do we really need to see. Anyway, Volvo was to release a new compact model based on the European Ford Festiva/Fusion chassis. Last years rumor was it was to be introduced into the U.S. market, maybe. A new Volvo priced to sell to regular guy's like me. Were there any V40 or S40's this year? How about the S40R high-performance edition? How about a C70 convertable this year? Anything?
I will probably go to the smaller Toledo Auto Show next month which unfortunetly will not have all of the concept cars nor the exotic brands. I am looking forward to seeing the new Mustang which will be here.
Did anyone attend?
