I noticed a few days ago that the front grille on my 244 has a corner missing. I suppose an errant rock on the highway took out the significant corner part that's gone. It's been like that for a few years because my mom was the first to notice it when she drove it, but I kept forgetting that it's broken.
Anyway, although the grille certainly isn't going anywhere soon, and nothing is compromised by the missing piece, what are my options for a new grille? The current one I've got is the chrome one that came standard, at least on GLs (I don't seem to recall much difference among the NA 240s).
*Are* there different grilles that were put on the 240s? I only seem to recall the one I've got now and then the turbo ones that were all black. I don't particularly want to put a turbo grille in a car that isn't turbo and almost certainly never will be, so is there anything else I can simply change out without modifications? (I don't want to do any of the cutting or complicated stuff involved with using grilles from 740s or others.)
I don't seem to recall coming across "different" grilles on Volvo parts sites. Is there a (after)market for new, non-OEM ones?
