I REALLY need some help with a 240 Flat Hood Grill

I am helping a friend of mine restore his 80's 245, and we recently aquired a flat hood, and a flat hood grille, however the grille is slightly damaged and has a few teeth knocked out of it. We'd like to cut the teeth out of it and replace it with some high quality mesh perhaps, but I have no idea where to get it, or if it can be done. If anyone has any experience with this, please let me know. We need to do something about it, because the grille needs some repair.
