Hi, My 79 245dl is from Colorado, bought new there. I brought it to MD just about 3 years ago, with no rust.(not too many early 240s around these parts, a local Volvo garage told me I have 1 of 5 he's seen in years) If I am not mistaken, someone please correct me if I am, Colorado dosen't use salt on the roads. Boston, I couldn't comment on. I am not sure what they'd use insted of salt, but my baby was free of rust when we got here. I am finding the smallest amounts now. Gotta get on it. Anyways, There is a Volvo specialest called Bob's on Colfax, east of Colorado ave. I hope these places are still around. Would the seller have it looked at? Good luck!
