964 Rear calipers upside down 900 1997

Hello to all

I've been going through my new purchase '97 964 97K, and went to the rear to inspect suspension and brakes. Please explain why this is so.

Drivers rear caliper is on left, passengers on right. What does this mean? What does this tell me about previous owners maintenance. Brakes work great. No pulsation. No sqealing. Before I bought it the rear pads were replaced by an independent Volvo shop.

Thanks.
