Electronic ignition, yes or no. 120-130

I Go electronic on my old cars as soon as the points have a problem. The benefits I see are:

better cold start
sometimes a power gain
never adjust again
simplified diagnostics
less frequent need for diagnostics

I usualy use a later model OEM system, but also have used Crane, MSD, and Pertronix.
The MSD box is bright red, and will work with points as a trigger.
IMHO, magnetic and Hall Effect triggers are most reliable, but there is much debate. For a mostly stock application, an OEM type system will perform just as well as the aftermarket black boxes. If grabbing a plug wire gives you a painful reminder now, Electronic will nearly throw you on the ground. Distributorless will pretty much knock you out, and maybe kill you...treat its 100KV with great respect!
