Final thoughts/confirmations on M410 -> B20 140-160

Well, I reckon the M41 in my wagon is just about toast. Making hideous noises in all gears and neutral if the car is moving. Well, 3rd ain't so loud, but it won't go into 3rd very often, and when it does, it falls out as soon as I let off the gas.

So, hastily onward with the M410 (out of a '70E) which is the only box I've got left that works. Looks OK inside... no rust, no broken teeth or nothin. All the gears go in smoothly by hand at the selector levers. I've convirmed that my wobble stick top will fit fine, and I checked lengths and all. The only final confirmation I need is that the clutch/throwout bearing/pilot bearing are all the same between a B20 M410, and the '74 engine that's in the car.

The clutch that's in there should be fine having less than 15k on it...so I don't want to change it if it'll work.

Dunno if I'll be able to get to it this weekend, but I'm sure fearing that I could get stranded any moment now.... and the wheather appears to be cooperating...

Also, just curious... are all the gear ratios gonna be the same as the M41?

again thanks.
-Matt
