Resurrecting from unexpected storage 700 1985

i agree..obviously remove the battery and recharge fully befoire doing it (poss replace the battery..if you do charge the old one a s well..i may be fun to start and a spare battery never hurt!)...wouldnt bother dumping the oil..just pour a cup full i n the top, then change it ASAP...

personnaly unless its sat in a very humid environment i wouldnt bother changing the brake fluid...unless its due...

Assuming it wasnt left with a full tank of gas i would drop a proprietry water remover in and maybe 5 gallons of fresh gass before cranking it up...

crank it over with the spark plugs out..check everything is turning nicely before firing it up....

obviously check tyres & presures....

check the throtle plate moves freely (dont wantto finds that one out on the freeway!)

when you start it I would let it come right up to temp idling...let the oil get about and you can check you have no unexpected water leaks...

drive slowly for a few, fill right up wiuth gas ASAP and do a service...

6 months isnt long in a dry climate inside...different story out side in a wet climate...
