Thinking of buying a 1994 940 Turbo Wagon with 85k mi. and would like advice please. Thanks 900 1994

So I found a 1994 940 Turbo Wagon with 85K mi. It has gold ext. and beige int. The guy is asking for $6500 and seems flexible. He says the car is in great shape and works perfectly and has the 3rd seat. He tells me he can get the records from the mechanic he uses who is a "Volvo guy" and says if I'd like, I can take it to my mechanic so he can check it out.

Is this a fair price for the car if all he says is true?

I'd just like some advice so I don't waste more money after buying a 1999 S80 T6 and having to resell it at a whopping loss.
