cold start problem 200 1985

I have a 1985 DL 240 series B230F engine. LH - Jetronic 2.2
this car is very hard to start in cold weather 20 degress and below. i have a trickle the gas pedal and then hold it to the floor for it to start. it takes several minutes of cranking. you can hear it wanting to start and then all of a sudden it does. after this initial start in the morning it runs fine and starts fine all day long until the next cold morning. there is a little bit too much oil in the car - would that have anything to do with the hard starting after sitting out in the cold all night? i just put new plugs, wires, dist. cap and rotor in and it still acts the same every cold morning. would appreciate your help. thank you!
