purchase of an 88 244 200

I have been trolling for a 'new' volvo... I have found a 1988 244 dl with a good bod, paint and decent interior. I can probably get this car for $800, but it has 240,000 miles on it. The miles are no real problem for me, because the b230 motor seems to be in surplus with pretty low miles... so an engine swap doesn't bother me.... my question is...
how are these cars in general? is the distributor run of the auxilary shaft? or the cam? (I really like the 1990 with the cam driven distributor....)
You guys think this car is worth it? besides the blower motor, what should I be aware of?
