Stalling problem, 1991 740GL 700 1991

My '91 740 did that, stranding wife about 10 miles from home.

Resolderoing the fuel pump relay solved it.

For two weeks.

Then it happened again.

Resoldering the radio suppression relay solved it again.

In fact, out of frustration, I resoldered every friggin' relay in the car.

That was two years ago, and the car hasn't missed a pothole since.

Resoldering the relays costs $0, takes about 15 minutes each, has no risk, and is clean and easy to do.
