Steering wheel/horn ring 92 940T 900

Hi all,
The steering wheel on my 92 940T has started to make a scratching sound when turned which leads me to suspect that the spring-loaded contact that rides on the horn ring is worn down. I've read the FAQ on removing the steering wheel but it mainly deals with air bag removal. Has anyone had any experience replacing the horn ring and contact button once the steering wheel is off? Any special Volvo tools needed. T.I.A. to anyone who can help.
