Needed Advice 700 1991

Hi i was wondering what you should normally replace on a 1991 740 8 valve sedan with a 150K on it. I was just wondering because i dont want to get stranded in this cold weather and i hear several parts wear out at this point and it is better to replace them then being out on the side of the road. Any suggestions would be appreciated thanks
