Dash lights out--anyone know a (possible) simple solution? 200 1986

So after driving for about an hour last night in the parking lot here (the snow was gorgeous), I turned off and turned on my lights for some reason I forget, and then the dash lights quit working. The gauges all still work, just the lights don't. The bulb failure light comes on too. I have 3 extra gauges and a switched light for my bike computer wired into the harness as well. Anyone have a good guess where to start? If not, I'll just starting hitting it with the voltmeter. Well, thanks as always!
