MHI TD04 about to give up the ghost 900

Yes, it appears the stock turbo is blowing a fair bit of oil into the intake piping, and under full throttle, I can detect a sort of metallic singing. I'm thinking it may soon be time to rebuild or replace the turbo.

Does anyone have firsthand experience with the Mitsu TD04 and / or the Garrett T03? To what extent are they interchangeable? Advantages one over the other?

I'm leaning toward keeping it stock, but I would rather buy a new turbo rather than have this one rebuilt, and Garretts are a lot easier to find cheap than are Mitsu's. Or am I just not looking in the right place?

Suggestions?
