Loss of power after long warmup 200 1983

I've been chasing a problem in my '83 240Ti since summer and am running out of ideas. The car is a low mileage (40K mi.) B21FT Intercooled. Engine harness is new as are both fuel pumps, fuel filter and the coil was just replaced with a known good used one. Problem is the same in both 80 deg summer and 10 degree winter temps. The car runs great for 20-30 mi on the highway. I then experience a significant loss of power at part throttle. At WOT, the power seems to be there. I have picked up a air/fuel gauge but it's a little cold to play out in the garage. What components might take that long to warm up and start to act up, only to be fine after an extended cooloff period? Thanks
