alternative temp compensation board fix 200

My opinion is the compensation board was a bad idea made worse by its flaky terminal connections. The bad idea was supposed to quiet warranty customer's concerns about the normal "dance" the gauge does during warmup and thermostat opening. It is supposed to keep the needle at 9:00 for a large range of acceptable coolant temps, but in doing so, it has turned the gauge into a "temp faker", just like the words are silk-screened right on the gauge face. So yes, pull the thing out and jumper it.

Here's the temp comp board.

Here's perhaps why someone might get rid of it.

The location of the jumper.

Closer view. I cheated with a wire wrap tool-- no soldering required.
