Missing and sputtering...help! 700 1992

How old are your plug wires? Take a good look at them. Move them around in their looms so that they are near each other in different places. Move them so that they are not near the engine.

I bought a used brick with 110,000 miles on it and one of the plug wires broke when I moved it to look at a spark plug. They were all brittle.

I have had some luck cleaning them with a rag and WD-40. Years ago, I would clean dusty plug wires with soap and water in the kitchen sink!
