Found a cheap '88 740 ti wagon,should I.... 700 1988

grab it? I drove it and it rode pretty nice.In my 10 minute observation I noticed first it has 279k miles, also an exhaust leak, oil seepage, electrical issues,no headliner, non working AC,turn signal lense and spoiler damage,SRS light. The good,NO RUST,nice black leather, nice silver paint, new tires on turbo alloys, loaded including sunroof.
It also started right up after sitting weeks in less than 30 degree weather. The turbo kicked in nicely, the steering is dead on,brakes seem fine.
Asking price $600(was $900 not too long ago)I am going to offer $400 cash and see if he bites.
