I recently purchased a 1990 740 GLE with 199,600 miles. The car has ran great until tonight on my way home from work. The engine started missing and rattling all at once. It has a very rough idle and will die at stop signs now. I have tried everything I know to try and still can't figure out what could be wrong with it. It almost sounds like it is out of oil, but no oil light is on and the engine oil is at the correct level. The engine now vibrates at higher revs and sounds almost like a diesel at fifty-five mph. I really hope someone knows what could be going on with my car. I'm sure you guys are pretty well acquainted with the B234F engines and hope someone can help. The car now has 199,900 miles. It has the 16 valve B234F engine. PLEASE HELP!!!!
