Brake bleeding, advice needed. 700

I'm not going to flush the system. Just top of the fluid i lost after my previous adventures with the brakes: http://brickboard.com/RWD/index.htm?id=745168

Should i just go round the car counterclockwise starting from left rear, opening the topmost bleed screw and pump the brakes a few times, then move on to the next wheel.

If I fail, or if I decide not to mess with the brakes, can I just put some brake fluid in and drive safely ~1km (0,6mi) to a garage that can bleed the brakes for me.

The car in question is a '85 740GL, bendix calipers in front, i'm not sure about the rear ones.
