Tie Rod, All Bushings, Engine Mounts - Let's Do It! 200

Tie rod tip. once you get the top nut off position the jack under the ball joint, careful not to damage anything, then raise it up a bit so the tie rod end can slip out better, you'll see what I mean, then whack it with a mallet or hammer. not too hard too many times or you can damage the strut assy, but it has worked for me twice now safely.

Mounts, haven't done them on 240's yet (just my BMW), but take a good 2X4 and place it between the jack and the oil pan. when doing the passenger side, best to take off the oil filter, makes it easier by the looks of it, good time for an oil change anyway. do one side at a time by jacking up that side after loosening the top and bottom bolts of the motor mount. loosen both sides before you start to give you slack.

check your tranny bushing too! easy, but just dirty because of all the crap that collects up there over the years. do the same as the motor mounts, cept jack up the tranny not the motor, duh!

the bushings I have not done those yet.
