how to get ECU id info online (for getting a spare ECU from ebay)? 700 1990

2 yrs ago,had same idea of getting a spare ECU and IgnitionCU from ebay just incase.Car is 1990 740 GL with Regina FI
Dealer gave me # 1336505 for IGU and # 8601056 for ECU.
Now 3 dealers give me # 3507696 for IGU(464$ Canadian)
and one gives me #8601056 for" fuel control unit "and 2 dealers give me #5003707($1393 Canadian,remanufactured)for ECU
Since I dont want to rip out some plastic panels to get to the actual units,is there an armchair way of finding out whether the numbers has been updated so that one can lookout for these units on ebay?Worldpac search at fcpgroton also does not confirm these #,possibly due to scarcity of Regina parts.
