Radio Issues 200

Well for once, my Volvo isnt the problem. I was checking out a buddy's '96 Jeep Cherokee because he was telling me that the radio stopped working. I got in and found that the radio only works when the clutch is engaged. There doesnt seem to be any wires grounding on the clutch, but thats only superficially. I really dislike Jeeps, Dodges, Chryslers, and the whole DaimlerChrysler line, but this problem has left me a little bewildered.
