Miserable sqeaky creaky seat . . . 200

Hope somebody can help me - the front seat of my 88 240 (78,000 miles) has become really creaky and I hear it every time I start and stop. Seems to be in the seat and the back. It did it a few months ago and a mechanic sprayed something under the from seat with WD40 and it stopped but now its back. I just tried to take out the front seat but had a problem. I looked up the archives and will try again shortly. Once I get it out (hopefully) what can I look for that would cause the squeaks and what's the fix? I mean, are they just creaky springs rubbing against the steel webbing or . . ? Thanks very much, Fred
