Oil breather replacement: advice, please 200 1982

The oil breather box on my '82 240 with CIS is plugged. What is the easiest way to replace it? Must/should I also replace the breather's oil sump pipe?

It has been over 5 years since I've had to service anything in that area, but as I remember the fuel distributor at least partially obstructs access to the oil breather box. Is this correct? Must it be removed to provide access?

Any pointers or advice?

Thanks!
