Strut mounts 200

Hi,

I did my strut mounts when I did the struts on our turbo a while back. I had originally planned to use dealer parts--until I noted that they were identical to the scantech parts from FCP Groton (both sets were made in korea and carried the same bearing numbers, etc.) The dealer parts were even in a sealed Volvo bag, with a parts label listing Sweden as the country of origin.

I ended up "trying" some MTC units bought through a local parts house--I hadn't heard anything about them at this point--I should have left well enough alone! They lasted about 3 days before the rubber started to pull away from the center bearing.

FWIW, the original units were SKF. IPD carried the SKF units (but they are now also made in korea). I also heard that the SKF parts are available through eEuroparts.com, LLC (www.eeuroparts.com) but can't swear to it.

Hope this helps,

Steve A-
