SC810 vs. SC811 900 1996

Anyone know what the difference is between the SC810 and SC811 radio?
The digital faceplate background does not light up any more on my 811 with CD Changer in trunk and I have access to an 810. I saw the picture of an 810 and its very similar to the 811. Is there any chance of fixing the lighting problem?
