Curing the problem dose not automaticly reset the trouble codes or the ck engin warning, they will have to be reset because they are desigmed to latch. You can power down the ECU (computor brain), sorta like a re-boot, by diconnecting it's power supply for a short period. If you are unknowledgeable of it source you can just dissconnect the bat neg cable for 30 sec. If you have the info to read codes you should also have info to clear the dignostics with the PB on it. If not, just keep asking and many will help with more detail. This is one of the friendliest place you can find in my opinion.
