STARTING PROBLEMS 900 1993

Dear Darryl,

Good p.m. Yes. Use a hand-operated (i.e., non-electric) pump to remove the ad fuel.

Re-fill with clean fuel. If the removed fuel has water in it (it will sink to the bottom of the container) you might want to put a couple of ounces of dry gas into the tank with the clean fuel. This will remove any remaining water from the tank. As dry gas is methanol - which is pretty corrosive - this is something that should be done only rarely.

If you do not have or cannot find a hand-operated pump, take it to a service center, and ask them to drain the gas tank.

Hope this restores your buggy to good health.

Yours faithfully,

spook
