LH Jetronic 2.0 Opinions 200 1983

I'm new to this. I've been around the block a time or two as a mechanic but never on this system or any other Volvo systme for that matter. I'm going throught the wireing harness troubleshooting hassle and trying to find why my car is so erratic at starting in one place and running fine and then not starting at another place.

The more reasearch I do seems to indicate that the LH Jetronic 2.0 system is just a royal pain in the arse. Even my book (Haynes) seems to avoid giving too much informatioin on the Chrysler "computerised ignition system" that works with the Jetronic.

I'm to hte point now where I'm ready to sell the darn thing and wash my hands of it.

What I would like to know is what are others feelings on this system. Has anyone else been throught this sort of thing and what are the more desirable systems that are more reliable and user friendly? When did the wiring harness problems go away? Or did they? Where in the heck is the blue Temp Sensor for the FI located? It's not under #1 or #2 intake plenum I can tell you that. The one that is under #2 is for the Temp Gauge not the FI.

Thanks
