fuse works, the equipment that uses it doesn't 700

As Rob points out there could be other causes for what you're experiencing. Having said that, the wires under the central electric unit can come loose, especially if you've pulled it out a bit to replace a relay. I had a intermitent starting problem that turned out to be a loose wire under the fuel pump relay socket.
