power ant swap+ other part swaps 900

i keep being told,only this year part works,etc..got tired of hearing that and started looking in the junk yard..
needed a windshield wiper lever and switch for my 95-960,,used one out of a 1989 740,perfect match..
my power ant didnt work rite on my 95-960 and couldnt pull it up enuf to clean it...for $10 at the junk yard one from a 1991 940 is exact same thing..
looked like the tailite lenses from the 940 are the same as the 960 also,,will pull one next week and check..
so,,seems like a lot of swapping can be done.
did some parts swapping on my 240 also from diff models and years..
somebody not telling us what we need to know..
maybe a database of parts interchangability section may be nice here..
if in doubt,take your part to the junkyard and poke and pull parts,,you may be surprised !
