help save my 544 from salvage! 444-544

I own a 90% restored 1966 PV544 that was recently involved in a truly minor fender-bender. The other person's insurance company wants to total the car, cleaiming that it's worth less than $2300, which seems ludicrous. Since these cars (especially restored ones) are so rare, I can't convince them that
it's worth a lot more than they think. They keep turning up "comparable" cars in my state (WA) that are either pre-restoration cars and/or seriously modified in a bad way. (Example: there wasn't a stitch of chrome on the last thing they tried to say was similar enough to mine.) If I can show them that other cars in similar condition sold for significantly more, I may be able to convince them that this car is worth repairing rather than totalling. I spent the last 7 years working with great folks in the Bay Area and Seattle to make my car like new, and I will be d*mned if I let this car be salvaged over a bent bumper and a dented trunk.

I don't want to buy the car back at salvage, for various reasons (not the least of which is that I won't get enough money that way to repair the car). And I have searched online for ads for other PVs. But they won't accept listing or asking prices as valid... only completed sales.

If anyone out there can provide me with documentation of a completed sale (I have eBay #2456498083 already) in a reasonable price range for a restored or otherwise very good condition PV544, I would be very grateful. It doesn't even have to be recent!

I'm also looking for the name of a good classic car appriaser in the Seattle area, in case I need to take this to the next step.

Thanks much,
