I agree that if the car is anything but a 4-cylinder gas turbo you should keep looking. But I couldn't be happier with my '88 760T wagon. Great stereo, better dash design (no cracking for one thing), fog lamps that don't get sheared off the first time you pull just slightly too far into a parking space...261K and going strong. But good luck with whatever you choose. No self diagnostics, however, except in the electronic climate control system.
