Hi John,

Are you using HS6 or HIF6 carbs?
I have use both & also HD8's from a Rover 2000. HIF's do flow more air than HS6's or the CD175's & make more power than HS6's when used with a good head. They also go around corners ALOT better than the HS style float bowls & I use to do it in the dirt. HD8's make more power when a big cam is in place. If I was starting from nothing & was looking at SU's I would try & find a pair of HIF7's from a Range Rover V8.

Can you send me an email sometime? I'd like to ask you some more about valves & cams.
