reset tappet clearance 140-160

Hi Paul,
I didn't know that about the Volvo cam profile. It does help to explain why they are so noisy, and why they seem to wear so much. Perhaps it also contributes to the valve seat recession we see so often. I have had luck re-profiling the lifter bases to a smaller radius than stock - makes them quieter and long lasting because one of the earliest sets I did is past the 100k mile mark with very few adjustments.
I can believe that 11.5:1 would ping on today's fuel!
John Passini had a way with words - sort of like Road and Track's Henry N. Manney, and they both died far too young.
Rhys
