Stupid Odometer Tricks (Volvo geek alert) S90-V90 1997

Tonight, my odometer turned 123456 on the main counter, and 789.0 on the trip counter!! I planned it to happen RIGHT at my house. I came to within .05(1/20th) of a mile--the trip rolled over to 789.0 about 40 feet from our driveway, and I just pulled over in front of the house to photograph the dash. I had planned it to roll over IN my driveway, though.

I took a VHS video of it, and a few 35mm snapshots(non SLR). It happened at night, which is the only damper on the otherwise joyous occassion. I got the instruments' backlight on the videotape, time will tell how the stills came out on film.

I can't believe what a soothing effect this has had on me. I've been planning this for so long, now it's a real load off. ...that nice warm and fuzzy feeling when things just WORK! All is right with the world, now. Will post a scan if I can swing it.
